Sarah

This evening we drove to Ceder Hill to surprise Sarah, my cousin Amy's daughter. She flew to Dallas this morning with a team from her church for the Junior Bible Quiz. Her team qualified and the national festival is in Texas this year. Unfortunately Amy wasn't able to come with her. They live in New Jersey, and it's been 5.5 years since I have seen Sarah. I packed Ellis' dinner and he ate it in the car and then fell asleep a little before we got there.

We made it to the church right when their kick off celebration was starting. All the teams were introduced so we got to see Sarah walk out on stage. Afterwards they go sit back down in the sanctuary and my mom went over and surprised her and then Ellis went to sit with her. My mom told me he asked Sarah what was on her teeth. She has braces. They had a guy that juggled and rode a unicycle, so Ellis was really entertained. Afterwards Ellis got to meet the guy and told him he did a good job :)

After it was over I was finally able to go see Sarah and give her a hug!!! She is so adorable....can you use the word adorable for an almost 7th grader!?!? :) We only got to see her for a few minutes and then they had to take a big group picture (which we might be in). But after the group picture we were able to talk again for a few minutes before they had to head back to their hotel. We also got to meet Amy's best friend who took a few pictures for us. Jackie too was fascinated with Sarah's braces! Love that picture. We won't be able to attend the rest of the event, so though we only got to see her for a few minutes, I'm SO glad we were able to see her tonight!!!
